About

Meet Eddie C. Walker

“I am dedicated to empowering Black men and men in Douglasville and beyond — providing culturally centered, evidence-based, faith-integrated mental health care that breaks the stigma around depression, anxiety, and trauma, and builds lasting emotional resilience and relational well-being.”

Just like your body, your mental health thrives on routine check-ups and proactive care. When you're facing life's peaks and valleys, having a dedicated guide makes all the difference.

More than fifteen years in the helping field sit behind that. In practice it shows up as plain language instead of clinical vocabulary, and as tools you leave the session holding — something to use on the drive home, not a concept to admire.

The work is built around the African American experience specifically. A room where you have to explain the background before you can get to the problem is a room where less gets done, and that is the step this practice skips. Faith belongs in that room too — as much or as little as you want it there.

Some men come in with one clear problem and finish in a couple of months. Others stay longer, because what surfaced turned out to be older than the thing that brought them in. Both are normal. You set the pace, and the plan is shaped around you rather than fitted to a program.

Tribe of Judah is a trusted clinical partner for men in Douglasville — normalizing mental healthcare, dismantling generational barriers to wellness, and cultivating the emotional strength to thrive at home, at work, and in the community.

Services

Counseling for the things men are told to carry alone

Individuals, couples, and families. In person in Douglasville, or by telehealth.

  • Anger Management

Practical tools for recognizing what sits underneath anger, and for responding rather than reacting — at home, at work, and with your children.

  • Anxiety

Evidence-based care for the worry, tension, and racing thoughts that make it hard to rest, focus, or be present with the people who need you.

  • Depression

Support for the heaviness that does not lift on its own, in a space where naming it is treated as strength rather than weakness.

  • Trauma

Careful, paced work with what you have carried — including what was never spoken about — so it stops shaping the way you show up today.

  • Couples Counseling

A place for both of you to be taken seriously. Communication, trust, and repair, with no sides taken.

  • Marital and Premarital

Building a shared foundation before the wedding, and strengthening one long after — with faith and family at the center.

As a Christian therapist, he brings faith, wisdom, and understanding into his work in a way that is truly meaningful and impactful. He doesn’t just offer advice during sessions; he also provides amazing notes, resources, and materials that give you the tools to continue growing and moving forward even outside of therapy.
